Silence of the Lambs is a 1991 American thriller directed by Jonathan Demme and based on the novel of the same name by Thomas Harris.

The film follows FBI trainee Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster) who must enlist the help of notorious murderer and cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), to track down Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine), a serial kidnapper and killer.
