Tony is telling the whole story to the doctor but where was he when it happened? Well, why would he call the Avengers anyway? It's not like they called him when they had problems. Put it this way, each superhero has his own job to do and a self-respect to maintain and calling the whole team would just be...cowardly, if I may. This is also the reason for a ...

The only thing I would add is that the movie is about Iron Man not the adventures of Iron Man AND SHIELD AND a few Avengers thrown in for good measure. Who goes to an Iron Man movie in order to see SHIELD? It would greatly diminish the drama having SHIELD as Tony's safety blanket. Therefore, they took away all his support (including his house) to "up the ...

Feige recently took to Twitter to engage with fans, touching upon S.H.I.E.L.D.’s absence in IM3, amongst other things: SHIELD was very busy, as will be revealed in future films.-Kevin Feige It’s hard to tell from that tweet whether there was a plan from the start for this ‘revelation’ about S.H.I.E.L.D.’s absence, or whether Feige and ...

During the scene where Tony has the surgery, you can see a miniature ARC reactor and some gadgets above Tony. As the surgeon removes a piece of shrapnel, he releases it and it flies up to the gadget. So Tony and the surgeon built an electromagnetic device to help out with the surgery. The eagle-eyed will also notice that when they show Pepper and Rhodey ...

My theory goes with the assumption that He could have removed the shrapnel at any time after coming back to the States Bear with me. Imagine, you're Tony Stark. You're told by a genius scientist that he can't remove a piece of shrapnel due to sterilization and equipment purposes. You become dependent upon the mini-arc reactor that you put inside your ...

The post credit scene just suggest that Tony is telling the whole story to Bruce. And Bruce is not present in the story and its a stand alone Iron man film, so showing other Avengers in it kills off its stand alone feel. As of Tony's offer to work with Bruce seems rejected as he is not with tony in the whole story. Here are Kevin Feige's words on the ...

I think Harley's entry is just like Marvel's trend of copying from DC. As in Dark Knight Rises there is a new sidekick (new Robin), similarly Harley can be a future Iron-Man (or a mechanic :P). As per my knowledge and Google search there is no Marvel's Harley which matches with the movie's Harley. Anyways it could be the case that Iron-Man 3 is like the ...

We were previously shown that those altered by Extremis aren't immortal. Tony killed one on the airplane by blasting out his heart. I think the assumption in that situation is that without a heart to feed blood to the rest of your body you'll die. When Killian was blown up the first time, he took a lot of damage, but it seems that his body mostly stayed ...

Yes - if you wait right until the very end of the credits, there's a sequence involving Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. It's just a little joke though and not part of the main plot. Otherwise, no other Avengers appear.

Extremis is a super-soldier solution. It's a bio-electronics package, fitted into a few billion graphite nanotubes and suspended in a carrier fluid. A magic bullet, like the original super-soldier serum—all fitted into a single injection. It hacks the body's repair center—the part of the brain that keeps a complete blue print of the human body. ...

Actually, the second time Pepper kicks a missile, possibly the "ex-wife", to Killians face. Adding that to the damage he took when the armor self-destructed, suposedly overloads his healing factor.

A press release reported on by EW.com on October 18, 2010 states: Disney, Paramount Pictures, and Marvel Studios have announced via press release that Iron Man 3 will be released in on May 3, 2013. This suggests that Iron Man 3 was always intended to be a late spring tent-pole picture in keeping with the previous releases. We can only speculate the reason ...

I just returned from the showing. There are no Avengers in the film, but hang around until after the credits if you really want to see another member of the team...

The answer is no, there is no new avengers in Iron-man 3. Rumors about Stephanie Szostak playing Janet van Dyne (Wasp) proved wrong. She is playing Ellen Brandt not completely like her comics part and she is given with Extremis virus. Which made her powerful villain not avenger. If Ellen Brandt survive somehow(shown killed) then she can be used in marvel ...

All part of Iron-man's suit act like a robot in itself. So its possible for jarvis to control one body part (glove) to act differently than the other Iron-man parts. It never said that the new Iron-man suit can only attract to Tonny. If you know correctly then he made to send the suit to Pepper to protect her. So it seems possible to me.
