In Death Note, people's eye and hair colour change when they are shown talking to themselves or thinking. Light changes to red colour, L to blue shade, Matsuda to yellow and Misa with lighter blue then L and Yotsuba Group member with purple. So what is the symbolism behind this colour pattern and what does it signify? I thought Red is for evil, blue for good but Misa also have blue colour.....so my theory fails here and what does yellow signify? Curiosity or what?

I don't remember that at all. Got any screenshots? Pehraps it's just an overly artistic way of making the viewers know that a character isn't talking out loud, and nothing more. –  user1306322 Aug 16 '14 at 17:04
@user1306322 done. There are so many instances of this. Even green colour also appeared. –  Ankit Sharma Aug 18 '14 at 7:30

Probably color psychology related based off of the characters personalities. Red being chaotic, blue being "good", light-blue is probably more based off of feminism then personality type, yellow being brash, as for purple it means wealthy or aristocratic, which fits for the Yotsuba Group.
