I watched this film about tourists from many centuries ahead of us, who time travel back into the past just to witness the world's worst catastrophes. Anyone can tell the title ?

Sounds a bit like the watchers in Fringe, but slightly different. – AlasdairCM Jun 4 '14 at 13:26

Perhaps The Time Shifters (AKA Thrill Seekers) from 1999 with Casper Van Diem? From IMDb:

A reporter, learning of time travelers visiting 20th century disasters, tries to change the history they know by averting upcoming disasters.

Then again, Timescape (AKA Grand Tour: Disaster In Time) with Jeff Daniels from 1992 is also about time travellers visiting past disasters. The difference, according to online sources, being that in Timescape, they do it recreationally, while in Time Shifters, it's for gain.

Here's the trailer for Timescape and the trailer for Time Shifters. Maybe one of them (or the male lead) will jog your memory.

BTW, is it allowed to put up two possible answers in one? I'm not 100% sure. – Walt Jun 4 '14 at 13:13
That's it, a reporter learning of time travellers visiting 20th century disasters for fun, tries to change the history of those events by preventing them from happening. – Centaurus Jun 4 '14 at 13:17
@Walt Providing multiple possibilities in an identify question is perfectly fine. – Doc Jun 4 '14 at 21:12
OK. Thanks Doc. – Walt Jun 4 '14 at 22:18

Another possible movie was an HBO movie. "Grand Tour: Disaster in Time".

I remember this movie from 1992. It was the one where the main character witnessed some strange people in town. Survived the disaster they came to see - and went back in time to convince his duplicate from the past that a disaster was coming. They were playing "Fur Elise" on the town church's bell tower - with sledgehammers. Good movie.

The question has already been answered, and the correct title was "The Time Shifters." – Tom Jun 4 '14 at 20:23
Further, the answer that was already here mentioned Grand Tour: Disaster in Time. So not only are you trying to answer an already answered question, you're duplicating the already existing answer... – Doc Jun 4 '14 at 21:11
