I saw this GIF created by a goon over at the Something Awful forums posted to Photoshop Phriday for "Professor X Blasts Off!", but I can't identify the source (other than Professor X, obviously). It seems to depict something (with Xavier 'shopped on it) intercepting a missile over some residences.

Have you considered asking the original poster? He'd know for certain, as opposed to the guesswork we can do here. –  Avner Shahar-Kashtan May 23 '14 at 5:30

Part of the clip looks like it's from the movie "The Iron Giant", which was written and directed by Brad Bird of "The Incredibles" fame. But I'm not sure that's what's being spoofed in general.

Part of the clip is definitely from The Iron Giant, although I feel like it's been sped up (and the colors changed) –  Clockwork-Muse May 23 '14 at 13:02
The whole clip is from The Iron Giant. They just superimposed an image of Professor X over the Giant's. –  System Down May 23 '14 at 17:21
