Looking for a movie possibly made in 1990's. All I can remember: Good interesting dialogue in a dining room setting. The "villains" had kidnapped the owners of the house and were tied up in a back room while the villains were talking at the table with others. Possibly Christmas time with more people showing up for Christmas dinner.

When I heard good interested dialogue, I instantly thought Pulp Fiction! Lol – 0x499602D2 Apr 18 '14 at 20:03

I'm going to take a stab, and say that it is "The Ref", with Denis Leary and Kevin Spacey, released in 1994.

It's about a criminal that gets stuck in a house with a dysfunctional family at Christmas, and it is actually a very funny dark comedy. Denis Leary kidnaps the couple to their own home after a botched robbery, and during the movie various other relatives and associates come to call for Christmas dinner.
