I am looking for the title of army/military comedy movie/tv series I think it was from around 80s. I remember only one scene from it, I think it was from the intro or beginning of the movie. The camera was shooting from the top angle, there was a jeep stopping at the guard post and one of the generals or someone was leaving the car. Unfortunately the jeep stopped next to the opened manhole or something, so the guy fell down to the manhole. Does it ring the bell? does anyone remember such scene?

Was it an episode from Gomer Pyle, USMC? –  DustinDavis Apr 12 '14 at 21:26
Sounds like a Pink Panther / Inspector Clouseau gag. –  BrettFromLA Apr 14 '14 at 17:09
Perhaps it was the Private Benjamin television series. –  mrpotocnik Jul 3 '14 at 18:33

Sounds like the antics of "Hogan's Heroes." The TV sitcom set in a German prisoner of war camp during World War II. It ran from 1965 to 1971. Here is the opening theme - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UnB-9tIZAo

Considering it's in a German POW camp, which were built on dirt, there probably weren't any manholes for anyone to fall down. Plus, the clip you linked doesn't show anything related to the original question other than "military comedy". –  JohnP May 12 '14 at 22:30
