Plot:

There are toy soldiers, toy tanks and toy planes trying to capture a hill in a World-War-II-like setting. In the beginning of the video, we see a hospitalized tin soldier.

Technique:

The music video is shot with photoanimation technique (slideshow of still photos) and I think Ken Burns effect (panning and zooming of still imagery) also.

Note: It might be Stop motion or Time-lapse photography also.

Other:

There is no information about the music genre or the singer. It is probably from late 80's, early 90's.

It is obvious but it is not:

  • Martika - Toy Soldiers
  • Eminem - Toy Soldiers

Edit:

I think it is from 2000's. Even around 2012. I think I was wrong about my first guess saying 80's, 90's. It can be an animation instead of real life toys also, still not sure about this.

Also it looks like this one: (from 1m39s) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brKxCMLHKDg#t=99

Better than this though. There are tanks like panzer tanks and tiger tanks also.

Music genre can be indie or alternative. Probably a slow beat.

Edi2:

I think there were medics too. It is shot in a studio-like place in a special settings with ruins, a hill, etc. It looks like a battle field. Dark colors are dominant. It is more likely that most of the things are toys.

Hope you're not looking for One Tin Soldier. Video is here youtube.com/watch?v=cTBx-hHf4BE –  Incognito Mar 10 at 15:27

@Incognito: Not this one, thanks for trying. It is not an animated cartoon. –  ermanen Mar 10 at 23:14

You aren't thinking of Disturbed's cover of "Land of Confusion" are you? It is animated, has tiger and panzer tanks, but no hospital scene that I remember. –  JohnP Mar 11 at 4:51

@JohnP: Not this one also, thanks for trying. –  ermanen Mar 11 at 22:04

In the 90's there was a song called Soldier, by Hanson. The song told the story of a tin soldier. I haven't managed to find any music video, but it might be related. –  Tonik Mar 18 at 7:53
