A space movie with a scene in which a crewman dies and is placed in a shell-like coffin, then 2 other crewmen take the coffin outside the spacecraft and push the coffin off into outer-space. The camera shot of the coffin moving into outer space is great.

Anyone know what the movie title is?

This would definitely be better served over at Sci-Fi, if someone could migrate it? –  John Smith Optional Dec 18 '13 at 22:55

@JohnSmithOptional There is no need to migrate perfectly on-topic stuff if the user chose to ask it here. (Yet I'd probably be the last one to miss an ID question, but in general when things are on-topic only the OP has the right to migrate anything.) –  Napoleon Wilson Dec 19 '13 at 0:37

If you are certain the film is from the 50s or 60s, then 1955's Conquest of Space would fit the description.

In the film, a dead crewman is placed outside the ship. However, the fact that he is strapped to the hull is bad for morale, and so the captain orders for his body to be pushed into space, during which he gives a moving speech about the goals of space exploration. The camera does follow the corpse into space.
