I need your help identifying a movie. If I recall correctly it was about some cosmonauts being stranded on a distant planet where something they assumed was a plant started to mimic Earth lifeforms. I'm not sure but in this movie Earth might have been destroyed and they are the only ones left.

Edit: This was a Hollywood movie. They were left on the planet and all planet was filled with this grass-like plant. After some time they started to 'see' things which they believed to be hallucinations, because those were images from their past. In the end it was the 'planet' itself making itself more and more like Earth basing on memories of the astronauts.

It's looks like movie about terraforming. and most likely the plot matches Terroform episode of Red Dwarf sitcom. Check out the given link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorform

I can't see how this is like the Red Dwarf episode. The OP has already confirmed this is a Hollywood movie. Plus the plot of the episode does not match what the OP is describing. –  Andrew Martin Apr 1 at 12:15
