Its a romantic film about an out of towner staying in, I think, a hotel. They two of them don't speak the same language but fall in love. At the end of the movie he tracks her down at her families restaurant. I've seen it once or twice but cant remember the title.

I know exactly the scene you're thinking of. She's a waitress and he comes into the restaurant and professes his love for her in her native language (Portuguese?) in a very stereotypically rom-com way. The restaurant, of course, goes quiet. etc... Can't think of the name of the film though. – Jacob G Mar 12 '12 at 14:02

Sounds very much like the Jamie and Aurélia story in Love Actually.

However, as that is an ensemble film with lots of other love stories all going on together, I guess that makes it less likely.

My guess would be Spanglish (2004). I haven't actually seen it but from the synopsis it's close yet different in some details. For instance it's the guy's restaurant, not the girl's family's.

I don't think is Spanglish, the girl doesn't stay in a hotel and he never track her down at the end of the movie – César Mar 12 '12 at 13:52
