Sorry but all I can remember is a black and white film, a guy is driving at speed late at night on a freeway somewhere; suddenly we see that outside the passenger window a man is pressing his face against the glass! Really creepy, anyone have any idea what that film is?

Are you confident of the details, or is this an image you can just barely remember from your childhood? The Twilight Zone episode "Terror at 20000 Feet" had a similar scene, but it was on an old-style propellor plane.… – Will Feldman Sep 2 '13 at 22:56
Thanks for that, but I am certain it was a car as there were no curtains, the guy was driving and then there was this horrid face suddenly at the passenger window! – Rob W Sep 9 '13 at 18:11

Even though the details aren't exact to what you have said, this comes to mind.

In To Kill A Mockingbird, when Atticus leaves his car in the middle of dark and leaves his son in the car, he is encountered by Bob Ewell, the town drunk, who shoves his face on the window.

The scene of Bob Ewell staring into the window of a car: enter image description here

Thanks for the reply but no sadly this isn't the film! The car was actually moving and it was a creepy looking ghost face at the window, wish I could remember more! – Rob W Sep 8 '13 at 21:07
