I've been trying to figure this one out forever!

I was a child watching this movie and it has bothered me ever since. I've had this one image from the movie stuck in my head for a long time and I'm wondering if anyone can identify it.

I watched this movie no later than 1994. It was an animated movie (or maybe anime?)

The scene I remember is one where there was a brother and a sister (I think...maybe it was two brothers or two sisters or two friends, but I think it was a brother and a sister). There are also a lot of other children. They were in some kind of passage or tunnel or something. There was a table and food and some one told the brother/older child (?) that he could not eat the food on the table. The younger (?) ate the food and the two had to be separated. The one who ate the food had to go with all the other children who ate the food and the other could go somewhere else. I'm not sure what or where either group was going.

As I was very young when I watched it, it made a big impact on me and I often think of it. I'm really curious to see what that movie might have been.

Be warned: If you watch it again as an adult, it will probably make you feel really silly... Childhood memories are never as good when they're relived, in my experience :) –  Flimzy Jun 4 '13 at 17:51

I imagine it would be a rather silly kid's movie. It just stuck with me as the image of a brother and sister being split up was very scary to my childish mind. LOL And I often think about it and wonder how corney the rest of the movie might have been in reality and why only that one part stuck with me all these years. :) –  curious to this day Jun 6 '13 at 21:11
