In the ending to Fast and Furious 6, Han's car is crashed into and lit on fire by a character played by Jason Statham.

While walking away, he makes a call to Dominic from the Fast and Furious series. That scene was in another movie just like it played out in the end of Fast and Furious 6. My whole family saw it earlier this year. It was not Tokyo Drift, in that movie the scene does not play out the same way. The scene at the end is exactly like we saw it played out.

What movie was it from?

A wild guess, but The Italian Job maybe? Also one of those car racing&chasing movies if I remember correctly. –  poepje Jun 3 '13 at 12:57

Oh btw, I was referring to the 2003 movie, I didn't know there was also another from 1969. But who knows, could be either of those. –  poepje Jun 3 '13 at 13:02

Thinking it may be Parker still have to watch it again. But no it wouldn't be that old of a movie. It would have to have Jason and the actor who played Han I'm the Fast series. I really like to know the movie it was in. As I seen it this year before Fast6. –  Billy Rust Jun 13 '13 at 17:34

So the exact same scene, with Jason Statham and Han? And you saw it this year and it isn't as old as 2003? Uh, I have a wild guess, was it Fast and Furious 6? –  Napoleon Wilson Jul 10 '13 at 11:28

@BillyRust No, it wasn't Parker. Just seen it, nothing similar in there. –  Napoleon Wilson Jul 25 '13 at 20:39

After reading your question, again, I debated on deleting my answer but figured I'd leave it for a few reasons.

  • Memories can play tricks on folks
  • Fast and Furious 6 is a prequel to Tokyo Drift
  • The information could be useful in finding the answer you (or others) seek.

Since I'm assuming your question is more like "What movie(s) have a scene like the end of Fast & Furious 6?" I recommend checking out the following:

But for those that have questions more Fast & Furious specific... "Tokyo Drift" does cause some confusion since Jason Statham's character is clearly not visible in "Tokyo Drift".

But since there really is no other explanation for why Han Lue was suddenly alive (in the 2009 Fast & Furious) after dying in the previous movie (Tokyo Drift), one may assume that the camera cut away before "Ian Shaw" approached Han's vehicle.

Camera view can also be the explanation for why "Letty" is now alive, again...

Just good to know information that may help...

The "Fast & Furious" films flow in this sequence:

  1. The Fast and the Furious (2001)
  2. Turbo-Charged Prelude (2003)
  3. 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)
  4. Los Bandoleros (2009)
  5. Fast & Furious (2009) - Letty dies
  6. Fast Five (2011) - Vince dies
  7. Fast & Furious 6 (2013) - Gisele dies
  8. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) - Han dies
  9. Fast & Furious 7 (2014)

Nice summary in the numbered list. Since it covers fatalities, you might add Jesse (the 'Mad Scientist') to point 1. –  Andrew Thompson Dec 15 '13 at 9:45
