Movies & TV Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for movie and tv enthusiasts. It's 100% free, no registration required.

The overlong question title pretty much sums it up.

The song had a Gotye-ish feel to it but I don't think that was the artist. It was pretty recent release, maybe in the last couple of years. It also had a weird stop-motion kind of style.

I know this is not exactly movies or TV, but there seems nowhere else to ask this question yet (there is a proposed site in Area 51 but it's a while away from beta). Although I now see there is a tag identify-this-music-video so perhaps it's okay....

Can you recall any more details? Did it have lyrics (and what were some of them)? Male or female? What was the setting of the video: urban, suburban, farm; U.S., Europe, etc.? Where did you see the video? –  wallyk May 19 '13 at 21:56
Sorry, I'm asking on behalf of someone else, so I'll need to check with her. I'll try to find out more using your questions. Cheers! –  David John Welsh May 20 '13 at 8:14
Whether identification questions are on topic here is currently being debated on meta - I am going to vote to leave this open for now pending community consensus as we have many more questions just like it that are open. –  user1887 May 20 '13 at 11:15
When I was finally able to ask her for more information today, someone had already posted the correct answer! Amazing... I'll check to see what the currents are on meta before asking questions in future; I'd like to see this become a full site for sure. –  David John Welsh May 22 '13 at 13:52
