I'm wondering about the artist/title of two songs used in "The Americans":

  • Episode 1 (The Pilot): Music used during the foot-chasing sequence at the beginning (where they're chasing the KGB-defector). Possibly also used (with song) at the very end.
  • Episode 4 (Pres. Reagan Shot): Song used while phone is ringing in the phone-bugging central. "Can you hear it? Sound off. Something burning. Something changing."

What can I say, the music I used to listen to during the early 80s, were mostly song by smurfs...

This is a music identificaiton question, which are off-topic here. AS such I am closing this. –  DForck42 Apr 22 '13 at 16:38
Quick question ... I often see music identification questions closed for the reason that they are off-topic; however, the official FAQ for movies and TV SE do not state that such questions qualify as off-topic. If questions like this are going to continue to be closed, shouldn't the FAQ be edited to reflect the off-topic nature? –  jlmcdonald Apr 23 '13 at 5:47

The chase scenes in the Pilot are set to "Tusk," by Fleetwood Mac. The song in episode 4 is "Pictures on My Wall," by Echo and the Bunnymen.
